New Zealand Police — corrupting our language:

Assistant Commissioner Malcolm Burgess* of New Zealand Police released a statement yesterday telling Kiwis that his department was “cooperating fully” with all information requests relating to an application for the Royal Prerogative of Mercy for Teina Pora, an innocent man who’s been in prison for 20 years, wrongly convicted of murder.

Truth is — police are providing information only after an injunction from the High Court directed them to, exactly the reverse of what Burgess would have us believe, and I’ve posted a selection of articles about this very sad case to my Wall at Google-Plus, here:
